VINE BONARDA

Vegetative Vigour: Medium to High.

Productivity: Of good size and constant.

Leaf: Medium-sized, from cuneiform to pentagonal, wider than long, usually entire, but sometimes lobed and three-lobed.

Bunch: Big and pyramidal, with two or three wings, medium loose, medium length peduncle green color tinged with pink

Period of Maturation: End of September - Beginning of October

Not to be confused with the Bonarda Novarese, Bonarda is pretty much the same variety of Croatina, and Usta in DOC at Pavese and Colli Piacentini. It produces full-bodied red wines of intense color.
